Pirates, Pubs and Punishment 🏴‍☠️🍻☠️ A Walk Through Wapping, London

Join me as I walk in the footsteps of pirates, merchants and sailors around one of London's most notorious historic neighbourhoods - Wapping. Starting next to St Katharine Docks with views of Tower Bridge, we head east along the River Thames and the cobbled Wapping High Street, passing former trade warehouses that have been brought back to life as luxury apartments. On this walk, we encounter some of London's oldest riverside pubs - The Town of Ramsgate (Originally established in the 1460's and a notorious criminal hangout), The Turk's Head (where prisoners and pirates could have their final drink before being executed at Execution Dock, which was located nearby), and The Prospect of Whitby (London's oldest riverside pub, established in 1520).
