Two Clubs. Same Loft. Completely Different Results?

Is there really a difference between a 6 iron and a 7 iron if they have the exact same loft? Most golfers assume the loft is all that matters, but modern irons have different head designs, shaft lengths, center of gravity locations, and weighting that could produce very different results even when the loft is identical. In this video, we put that theory to the test using launch monitor data and real world testing to compare two irons with the same loft. We analyze ball speed, launch, spin, carry distance, peak height, descent angle, dispersion, and overall consistency to find out whether the number stamped on the sole still matters when loft is taken out of the equation. The results were fascinating. While loft plays a huge role in iron performance, it is not the only factor. This test highlights why properly fit equipment can make a significant difference and why simply comparing lofts does not tell the whole story. If you have ever wondered why one iron performs differently than another with the same loft, this video is for you.
