Located at Wat Khao Tham Thiam in U Thong District, Suphanburi Province, the image depicts the Buddha in the gesture of offering blessing to his mother. It stands 108 meters high, and has an 88-meter base and a 65-meter lap width. It sits on a cliff face known as "Pha Mangkorn Bin." This site was formerly an old stone mine. After the concession expired, it became abandoned. The abbot of Wat Pa Lelai sought permission from the Royal Forest Department to develop and establish the Suphanburi Provincial Buddhist Monument. An ancient stone inscription has also been unearthed at this site, which reads "Pusyakiri," meaning "Mountain of Flowers." However, most scholars believe that the name "Pusyakiri" refers to "the artificial mountain," and there are also speculations that this may have been the first temple in Thailand.
