How to cut TINY Opals... Smallest One On The Channel To Date! (Coober Pedy Opal Rough to Polished)
Today we cut and polish a tiny Coober Pedy rough opal using the Dremel/rotary tool and flex shaft. It can be quite fiddly but due to its small size once it is dopped the process is actually pretty fast. The dopping was done with a cut down chopstick and 5 minute epoxy for the optimum hold on such a small piece of rough.
