Waynesville into Asheville on Interstate 40 & I-26, to the AVL airport & Mills River

This drive takes us from Waynesville into Asheville, then down to the AVL Asheville Airport and on to Mills River. We'll start on US 74, which connects with I-40 for the drive east into Asheville. Then we'll turn onto I-26 southbound to NC Route 280 and 191, which will take us past the airport runway and on to the town of Mills River. I made this trip in December 2025.
