2022 Nissan Rogue review // All-new turbo engine!
#NissanRogue #Rogue #CoupleCarReview This is a Motormouth couple car review of the 2022 Nissan Rogue compact SUV with an all-new 3-cylinder turbo engine. What’s new for this year? The Rogue gets a new engine, a 1.5L turbocharged 3-cylinder with 201 horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque. The CVT has also been updated, it’s more refined with 17% wider gear ratio coverage and 32% lower friction than the previous transmission, which helps with acceleration and fuel economy. Standard AWD in Canada and in the US both FWD and AWD options are available. The previous Rogue’s 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with 181 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque is standard on the base trim in Canada and comes with a FWD and AWD option. In the US, this base engine is no longer available and all other trims in Canada come with the new engine. The Rogue now offers best in class fuel economy. The turbocharged 3-cyliner gets 8.4L/100km, 28 MPG in the city and 6.7L/100km, 35 MPG on the highway. The Rogue and Forester offer the most front row legroom in this class at 43.4” of space. The Rogue offers excellent second row legroom but it’s not best in class, competitors like the CRV, Tucson and Forester all offer more. There’s sufficient amount of space for our carry-on and a cooler, keeping up well with the competition for overall cargo capacity and space behind the second row. The Rogue has a unique feature, a Divide-N-Hide cargo system to give you multiple options to store your items; this is standard on the SL trim. This family-focused SUV has wider doors that open nearly 90 degrees to make it easier to get car seats in and out of the vehicle. It comes standard with an 8” touchscreen, available 9”, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, available wireless Apple Carplay, cloth seats with available leatherette and leather on higher trims. Other available features include a 12.3” digital driver display, wireless charger, heated rear seats, a Bose sound system, ProPilot Assist with Navi-link, a hands-free power tailgate and a panoramic sunroof. In Canada, the Nissan Rogue base engine starts $29,148 CAD for FWD and $31,448 CAD for AWD. The Nissan Rogue turbocharged engine starts at $26,850 USD (FWD), $28,350 USD (AWD), SV AWD $35,748 CAD/$30,040 USD, SV Premium $37,748 CAD, SL AWD $40,148 CAD/$34,700 USD and Platinum AWD $42,398 CAD/$38,130 USD.
