The Day Trees Started Looking Human

Every woodland has beautiful trees. But those aren't the ones I'm usually searching for. I'm drawn to trees with scars, twisted branches and strange shapes—trees with character rather than perfection. On this walk I revisit one of my favourite ancient trees to see how it changes in summer, experimenting with wide-angle lenses, panoramas and even a fisheye to capture the feeling of presence rather than simply recording what was there. Sometimes the most memorable photographs aren't the prettiest ones. They're the ones that make you stop and look again. I'd love to know... Which image stood out to you most? Thanks so much for watching. — John Music courtesy of Track: The Storyteller Music by https://www.fiftysounds.com #WoodlandPhotography #LandscapePhotography #Photography #NaturePhotography #Woodland
