Cherise Brand was diagnosed with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) just a month after qualifying as a mental health nurse. She struggles to breathe, can’t walk very far, and is constantly exhausted – but people wrongly attribute her symptoms to her weight.
