Domenica Montero (Angelique Boyer) is a generous woman, founder of an orphanage, who believes she has found love in Max (Diego Amozurrutia). What she doesn't know is that Max is a con man allied with her own cousin, Kiara (Scarlet Gruber). Driven by envy and ambition, Kiara orchestrated the entire encounter so that Max could seduce Domenica and take her fortune. After three months of romance, Max proposes to Domenica, but abandons her on the day of the ceremony, fleeing alone and leaving her humiliated at the altar. The Isolation in "The Abandoned One" Devastated and hardened by the betrayal, Domenica decides to leave the city and move to her deceased parents' farm, "La Joya," known in the region as "The Abandoned One." There, she adopts an authoritarian and cold demeanor, carrying a weapon and imposing strict orders, which frightens employees like the gossipy Neide (Ana de Villa). She swears she will never again allow any man to get close to her heart or take advantage of her. Luis Fernando (Marcus Ornellas), the neighbor and doctor, comes into direct conflict with Domênica due to territorial disputes over a lagoon. The initial relationship is one of pure hatred, with exchanges of insults and threats, but Luis Fernando begins to feel that Domênica's bitterness hides a deep trauma and decides to investigate her past. Genaro (Brandon Peniche), the farm foreman, is an ambitious man who was already conducting shady business on the property before Domênica's arrival. He tries to gain the trust of his boss while planning to expel her to maintain control of the land, even physically confronting Luis Fernando. Even after her failed scheme with Max, Kiara (Scarlet Gruber) continues to manipulate the situation, visiting the ranch to try and keep Domenica under her control and prevent her from finding new happiness, while secretly becoming involved with Genaro. While dealing with Genaro's threats and Kiara's deceit, Domenica finds some comfort in the support of her aunt Pilar (Veronica Merchant) and the loyal housekeeper Nicolasa (Arcelia Ramírez), who try to remind her of the kind woman she was before the betrayal.
