After enlisting and serving 9 years as a Grenadier Guardsman, John experienced tours of Northern Ireland & The Falklands, before leaving to join the MET. After passing the Special Branch entrance exam, John found his way to the Royalty Protection unit, and enjoyed the remainder of his career travelling the world protecting ambassadors and politicians.
