Menelaus was the King of the Greeks. In the battle of the Greeks against the Trojans, Achilles one day refused to fight. Consequently, Patroclus, unbeknownst to Achilles, disguised himself in Achilles’s armor and led his soldiers into battle. Patroclus is then killed by Hector, the prince of Troy, who believed him to be Achilles. Distraught at the death of his friend, Achilles is driven to seek vengeance.
