Back in 1977, Leslie was 21 at that time. All of Leslie's friends persuade him to try out for this contest. If the contestants won, they would get a record deal. Although Leslie didn't get first place, Michael Lai Siu-Tin talked to him after the show, and made a promise that he can make Leslie into a star. Ever since then... It's all history. Quick Facts: 1977- Leslie's applicant for the contest, he put his occupation as Fashion Designer (Leslie was unemployed at that time). Leslie was broke at that time, and only had several hundred dollars... Just enough to live in a hotel for a month and just enough money to buy grocery. In a bibliography, the hotel he stayed in wasn't too far from the studio where the contest was held. It only took around 30-40 minutes to bus there. -1978, Leslie debut in his first(adult) movie -- Erotic Dream of the Red Chamber. Leslie was held in a threatening situation, and had no choice but to star in it. In an interview, Leslie does not want to recall upon this film, because it had affected him as a person.
