Every second, a truckload of clothes is thrown into the trash. We think that donating or thrifting is a noble and environmentally friendly act. But the reality is much darker. Behind the cheap clothes and vintage styles lies a global crisis of exploitation, pollution, and injustice. In this video, we dive into how the fast fashion industry produces massive amounts of waste, and how developing countries like Ghana are becoming dumping grounds for used clothes from developed countries. The donations we think are helping are actually just moving the problem.
