Una carga de PIÑON y un tercio de LEÑA para completar la vuelta en la Sierra de 14
María de la Luz finally climbs the pine tree to collect the pine nuts 🌲. With surprising skill, she scales the treetop, nearly five meters high, moving confidently and expertly among the thin branches… all this at 78 years old. Meanwhile, Nancy and the veterinarian Oscar support her from below, collecting the pine cones as they fall one by one. María de la Luz doesn't leave a single one, because—as she herself says—"they're too beautiful to leave." On the way down, she still manages to leap almost 80 centimeters, displaying extraordinary strength and agility. And like any good country woman, she takes advantage of the return trip on her donkey to gather firewood, the same firewood she uses to cook her meals every day. Along the way, María de la Luz also shares memories of her life with her husband, Margarito, to whom she was married her entire life, and offers a simple yet profound piece of advice about marriage and living together as a couple. The tour ends at El Maguey Mocho ranch, where María de la Luz and Nancy say a very emotional goodbye, bringing to a close a story full of hard work, tradition, and love for rural life.
