White cords extending from the fingers of a Buddha statue, and decorations depicting bizarre creatures resembling a combination of elephants, fish, and birds. Upon investigation, I discovered that each element has a meaning, giving me a profound appreciation for the depth of Thai Buddhist culture. Afterward, I spent a relaxing time at a teahouse surrounded by nature, and then visited a temple famous for its gigantic statue of Kannon (Goddess of Mercy). I concluded my trip with a local Pad Thai.
