From Chenini I take an initially rather simple track, but then the last 10-15 km that separate me from Ksar Ghilane prove almost impossible to cross with a heavy motorbike like the Benelli TRK502x. After having risked falling several times, I actually fall and it feels bad. The sand here is like talcum powder, the tires don't grip and the wheels sank a lot when they fell. With a little ingenuity and luck I manage to get out of it and finally reach the oasis of Ksar Ghilane and, finally, the city of Douz.
