Se-Le-Tega

This one is different. Se-Le-Tega is an attempt to imagine what a warning ceremony might have felt like among the ancient Calusa... as an artistic reconstruction built from what little history left behind. Shell mounds. Canoes. Mangroves. Masked procession. Water watching the horizon. The Calusa language did not survive whole. Only fragments remain. So this track leans into that absence... the broken words... the names that endured... the breath between them... the sound of a people calling from the edge of the harbor before history arrived. Se-Le-Tega means the warning goes out. Run to the lookout. See what is coming. Tell the people. This is the sound of the water remembering.
