Bundeswehr übt in Ganderkesee - Feldeinsatzübung „WELSE-TROSS“ der 3./Logistikbataillon 161

Logistics Battalion 161 ensures the continued supply of the Army with resupply, transport, and maintenance capabilities in the event of national and alliance defense. The battalion's 3rd Company, a supply company, establishes a mobile supply point, primarily within existing infrastructure, in such a scenario. To practice this scenario, disruptions may occur in the Immer and Havekost areas of Ganderkesee between April 4th and April 8th, 2022. Approximately 80 soldiers will establish and operate this supply point. About 50 vehicles will be used for this exercise. Working in shifts, 24 hours a day, the soldiers will practice receiving, storing, transshipping, and shipping Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) equipment from farmsteads and warehouses provided in the area. Furthermore, the securing and defense of this supply point against enemy forces will be practiced. Overall, increased traffic volume is expected during the exercise period. The German Armed Forces will also be setting up their own signs for coordination purposes; these signs do not apply to civilian traffic. We apologize for any noise disturbance that may occur.
