NCL Gem 11-day Panama Canal Cruise

We recently went on the NCL Gem's 11-Day Panama Canal Cruise. We had an incredible time and had way more fun than expected. The NCL Gem facilities, food and beverage, entertainment, activities, talent, and excursions were all top-notch. We wanted to post this video to give you a really good idea of just how much there is to do and have fun whether it's an at-sea day or in port. You get 4 total at-sea days and 6 port of call days including Georgetown, Grand Cayman, Cartegena, Columbia, the Panama Canal and Colon, Port of Gamboa, and Port of Balboa, Panama, Puerto Limon, Costa Rica, Harvest Caye, Belize, and Cozumel, Mexico. We are proud to be one of the members of a relatively small group of people who have transited the entire Panama Canal. The NCL entered the Panama Canal from the Caribbean and went through the Gatun Locks into Gatun Lake. They dropped us off while anchored in Gatun Lake. We went to the Port of Gamboa to board our excursion ferry. This ferry took us from the Port of Gamboa all the way to the Port of Gamboa adjacent to Panama City, Panama on the Pacific side. In the meantime, the NCL Gem turned around and went back west out of the Gatun Locks to the Caribbean Sea where they stopped in Colon, Panama. We joined the Gem that night after a bus ride took us from the Port of Balboa to Colon. If you are looking to take a cruise, we highly recommend the NCL Gem and the 11-Day Panama Canal Cruise itinerary. Even at 11 days, we never got bored once, which was our fear.
