This time, we're continuing the issue of the corroded beam that we discovered last time. We received advice from a local construction company, and we've decided to proceed with the plan of "supporting the beam by erecting a column from below." I was so relieved, as I thought my DIY project was over! The column will be erected near the counter on the first floor. Therefore, we've started demolishing the first floor, which we hadn't originally planned to do. When we dismantled the counter, we found traces of small animals living there, and we also got clues about the layout of the plumbing. There were so many things we only discovered after demolition!
