This time, I used the "Thread" function, which is available with the added connector in the cut function, to actually make bolts and nuts with a 3D printer. Even screw threads, which would normally require detailed CAD work, can be created using only operations within Bambu Studio. This time, I prototyped in 10mm, 20mm, and 30mm sizes and also tested the tightness based on the clearance setting. From my testing, it seems that the clearance is reflected on the female thread side. It's easier to understand if you think of the input value as for one side; inputting 0.2mm resulted in the female thread diameter increasing by approximately 0.4mm. In this test, 10mm → 0.2mm 20mm → 0.5mm 30mm → 0.8mm These settings were smooth, and the looseness was within an acceptable range. It's really convenient that you can do this much with just Bambu Studio! It seems like it will be very useful for connecting segmented models, prototype parts, and making DIY parts.
