How to Install RV Side Shades by Magne Shade®

In this video, we show you how to properly install Magne Shade® RV Side Shades. Follow along step-by-step as we walk through the full installation process — from prepping the glass to placing the black exterior magnets using the shade as your template for perfect alignment. RV Side Shade Installation Steps: 1) Locate & organize all components Lay everything out first and confirm you have your side shade(s), exterior magnets, adhesive, and install materials ready to go. 2) Let the shade relax in the sun For best results, allow your Magne Shade® to relax and flatten out in direct sunlight. This helps the shade return to its natural shape and makes installation easier. 3) Clean the exterior glass thoroughly (critical step!) A clean surface is essential for long-term magnet adhesion. We show you how to prep the glass using: Rubbing alcohol + # 0000 steel wool This removes road film, wax, and residue that can prevent proper bonding. 4) Prepare the shade with exterior magnets + adhesive Next, we prep the shade by placing the exterior magnets along the backside of each shade pocket. After that, we show how to apply the adhesive to the magnets. 5) Install the black exterior magnets around the perimeter This is the key step — we use the shade itself as the template to place the magnets in the correct position. 6) Apply pressure to each magnet once installed After placing each magnet, firmly press and apply pressure to ensure the adhesive fully seats and bonds properly to the glass. 7) Keep the shade OFF the glass for 3–5 days Once all magnets are installed, leave the shade off for 3–5 days to allow the adhesive to fully cure.
