Cận cảnh cây cầu giữ kỷ lục cầu dài nhất Đông Nam Á

Southeast Asia has a fragmented terrain with many large rivers, lagoons and islands. Like Vietnam, most of these countries have gone through colonialism and war. For many years, the connection between regions in these countries has been limited due to dependence on ferries and boats, especially in Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brunei, and the Philippines. In the past two decades, when taking advantage of domestic and foreign resources, especially ODA loans, countries have built many large and very large bridges connecting regions in the country. The bridge holding the position of the largest and longest bridge in the region has been continuously replaced. The record for the longest bridge in Southeast Asia once belonged to Malaysia's Penang 2 Bridge, a bridge with a total investment of 4.5 billion Ringgit connecting the tourist island of Penang with the Malay Peninsula, the total length of the bridge is 24 km, of which the sea crossing is 16.9 km long. Recently, this record has been defeated by the Temburong Bridge of neighboring Brunei. Today we will review information about this bridge, the longest bridge in Southeast Asia today. Brunei, a small kingdom located in the North of Borneo Island, the third largest island in the world, this country consists of two separate parts, separated by Malaysian territory. The districts of Belait, Tutong and Brunei-Muara, including the capital Bandar seri begawan, are located in the same area, while the remaining district of Temburong is located alone in the other area. The two parts of the country are divided by the state of #temburongbridge #brunei #bridge Sarawak of Malaysia. Traveling between these two areas is difficult because you have to go through Malaysian territory with 4 immigration checkpoints of both countries. The worst is to take a boat from the capital Banda seri Begawan to Bangar, the largest town in the district of Temburong, the road crosses many rivers and waters of Brunei Bay. Therefore, when the Temburong Bridge was built, it became an important milestone not only for the Brunei people but also for the ASEAN community. The bridge has a total length of nearly 30km, of which the part crossing Brunei Bay is 26.3km long. Since its construction started in mid-2014, it has attracted the attention of domestic and international media. With a total investment of up to 1.6 billion Brunei dollars (1.2 billion USD in 2018), it is estimated to be about 27 trillion Vietnamese Dong. The advantage of this bridge is that it is built entirely on Brunei's waters. Although the territory is divided by Malaysia, according to the division between the two countries, the waters inside Brunei Bay, this area is under the sovereignty of the Kingdom of Brunei. Because of this, the Temburong Bridge is not an international bridge, it is completely under the management of the Ministry of Public Works of Brunei. Another advantage is that this area is a closed sea, relatively shallow and less affected by ocean currents and waves than other areas of the East Sea. As many people know, Brunei's sea area is still part of the East Sea and Brunei is one of the five countries and six parties claiming sovereignty over the East Sea. Two main contractors from Korea and China are undertaking the construction of this 30km bridge. The 18km section including the approach and sea crossing bridges was built by the Korean company Daelim. During the construction process, the Korean president, Mr. Mun Jae-in, personally visited and encouraged the construction site. The remaining 12km section was supervised by the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). This section crosses the Labu Nature Reserve, a precious primeval forest on the island of Borneo. The geology of this area is not fixed because it is located on an ancient swamp. To be fair, China is very good at building bridges and roads in difficult conditions such as high mountains, deep valleys or areas like this. The Vietnamese element in this bridge is that there is a Vietnamese brand, Vinh Hung IP company in Hung Yen. The company said that Vinh Hung participated in supplying products for the Temburong project with high-tech bridge railing products designed and manufactured by Vinh Hung IP factory in Vietnam. The bridge construction technique applies precast technology, the components including concrete and steel will be cast and then assembled into the bridge. I am not very familiar with construction techniques, but I see that precast technology is being applied as a trend in many projects, especially in difficult conditions of construction location. The great benefit of this form is that it is economical and quite safe in construction. Okay. So after 6 years of construction, the Temburong bridge was inaugurated on March 17, 2020. It marks the territorial connection of the Brunei kingdom from here. Residents of Temburong district have been able to reach the capital of Banda seri Begawan without having to cross anoth...
