Narrow Gap Welding Technology

Narrow Gap Welding can reduce your weld volume and weld time by as much as 80%. But you rarely see it used in production. Narrow gap is a technique, not a welding process. Gas metal arc (MIG) Gas Tungsten arc (TIG) and Submerged arc (Subarc) welding all work well with narrow gap. The narrow gap technique has fascinated me since the '70s.
