Back at Mount Cotton—Queensland’s crown jewel of public MTB parks—and this time I’ve got company: the one and only Bicycle Curious. Beard? Regal. Jersey? Electric blue. Vibes? Astronomical. We roll out from the quarry roundabout, grind up Escalade, then dive into Shenanigans—a spicy blue trail with just the right amount of tech to keep things interesting. From there, it’s full send on Westys, a black diamond ripper, before hitting the newly revamped Blacking Out, stacked with jumps and gnarly features. My legs were officially cooked, but Aidan wasn’t done. He talked me into Metamorphic—and thank the trail gods he did. That waterfall feature? Straight-up cinematic.
