DIRECTOR'S BIO: Born in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sabina Vajračan immigrated to the U.S. as a war refugee, and started her career in NYC theatre. She’s best known for her critically acclaimed feature documentary BACK TO BOSNIA (AFI Fest premiere / Director’s Choice, Crossroads / BBC’s top 100 films directed by women), and short drama SEVAP/MITZVAH, which was in the 2024 Academy® Awards contender and won the 2023 Humanitas Prize.
