Solo Hiking 142 Km on the Tour du Mont-Blanc

The loop around the Mont-Blanc mountain massif extends across Italy, Switzerland and France. It's easily accessible from anyone of these countries, however the original starting point is in Les Houches, France near Chamonix. Many people fly into Geneva or Zurich and then travel via land to the nearest point in Switzerland or France. Me, being Italian and being on holiday with my parents, I flew into Turin, and then got a lift to Courmayeur where I started and arrived at the end. There are many points where, in case of emergency, one could escape, you're never too far from civilisation which makes this hike doable even if you're not too confident in yourself and your abilities.
