Duncan the Black without swap

Skip to the boss fight: 12:30 Example of defeating Duncan the Black in hard mode without swap, consumables, sliver armour or other tricks, simply with a slightly tweaked standard team. Good for ranged damage dealers, feasible but more taxing for melees. ►Approach against Duncan • Flags. Flag the midline heroes in the corner southwest of Duncan, far enough out of his range so they won't attack him. There they'll usually also be far enough away from the downstairs spirits and not aggro them. Instead, they'll remove the respawning spirits standing inbetween them and Duncan. The backline heroes should be flagged closer to the player if he's playing a melee build, so they'll heal and protect you. • Spiritual pain. For the purpose of removing the spirits domination magic mesmers with spiritual pain are a great asset. • Protection prayers. Duncan reflects all damage dealt to him, multiplied by 2. Only the player should attack him, so a protection prayers hero with spirit bond and shield of absorption can keep him alive easily. This way the fight takes a bit longer, but is safe. • Melee: Asuran scan. If you're playing a melee build you're in a disadvantageous situation, as you'll usually trigger the spirits behind Duncan to spawn, where your heroes won't remove them. You need to reapply spirit bond more often (due to spirits of disenchantment) and keep using asuran scan on Duncan (due to spirits of shadowsong). ►Builds used in this video https://gwpvx.fandom.com/wiki/Archive...
