Clearcover Inspired Underdog: Gloria Mutiri - Women’s Volleyball - Opposite - University of Oregon Gloria Mutiri lost both her parents while she was in high school. Gloria’s parents had always taught her to be confident in herself and that she could handle whatever came at her. Despite her many hardships, Gloria used those lessons to persevere and fight for the things she wanted. Gloria made volleyball her safe space and trained hard so she could follow her dream of playing at the collegiate level. Gloria is currently a member of the Pac-12 first team all-conference volleyball team at the University of Oregon. Off the court, Gloria serves as the program director for Oregon's Black Student Union and started a cultural safe space for black student-athletes on her campus called BeUnited. After school, she plans to play volleyball professionally and become a sportscaster. While big insurance companies have been sponsoring professional athletes for years, Clearcover is an up-and-coming car insurance company that wants to sponsor student-athlete up-and-comers as official Clearcover athletes.
