A Combination of a good mechanic and bad parts basically reverts you back to the same as having a bad mechanic. In the shop we have a 2007 Toyota 4Runner which was diagnosed correctly but a counterfeit part caused the diagnosis to derail and go back to square one which is why it's in our shop.
