Bus & Coach Society of Victoria Northern Melbourne Historic Bus and Coach Tour Short Onboard Rides.

This is a video of various short on board rides in historic buses and coaches used on a Bus and Coach Society of Victoria (BCSV) historic bus and coach tour of the northern suburbs of Melbourne Victoria. The BCSV tour consisted of visiting Moonee Valley Coaches in Tullamarine Victoria and Dysons Group in Bundoora Victoria. While at these companies depots their historic bus and coach fleet was showcased and a series of short rides were taken in a variety of historic buses. The Bus and Coach Society of Victoria (BCSV) was founded in 1968 with the purpose of preserving the history of passenger road transport in Victoria. The BCSV does not own or operate any historic vehicles and does not have its own physical museum. Its it primarily operates tours using historic and modern vehicles throughout Victoria. In more recent years the BCSV have been involved in showcasing the modern and upcoming side of the Bus and Coach industry in Victoria. Thus very few truly historic tours similar to the Northern Melbourne tour in this video operate today. Moonee Valley Coaches was founded in 1966 and has the following historic buses and coaches in their heritage fleet. 1946 KB6 International 1970 Bedford VAM 70 1986 PMC Elwood 1987 Austral DC122 Tourmaster Dysons Group was founded in 1952 and has the following historic buses and coaches in their heritage fleet. 1968 Comair Bedford SB5 1981 Bedford BLP2 1982 PMC Elwood 1983 Denning GM 6V92 Denair Historic Bus and Coach tours similar to the Northern Melbourne tour very rarely operate in Victoria in fact this tour may have been the last historic bus tour to have run in Victoria featuring buses dating from before 1990. Hopefully the Bus and Coach Society of Victoria will be able to run more historic bus and coach tours with pre 1990s vehicles in the future.
