OpenVSP tutorial - how to find aircraft Neutral Point
The Neutral Point (NP) is the aircraft's longitudinal centre of gravity (CG) location for which the aircraft is neutrally stable in pitch. The CG would then generally be set slightly in front of this location to make the aircraft slightly positively stable. A key feature here is that the NP depends only on geometry whereas the CG depends only on the mass distribution.
