Shaving with Ghost Ship
Today, I use something that's been in the den since I started wet shaving videos. The company went under a different name back then; it was called Beaver Woodright. Then, it changed to Black Ship Grooming, and now, yet another metamorphosis is happening. I refocus, if you will, but I'm not sure what the refocus will be. Black Ship Grooming, formerly known as Beaver Wood, was established by Kelly Hogan, the owner of the now-rebranded establishment. Despite the name change, the exceptional quality of their shaving soaps and aftershaves remains undeniable. Interestingly, the company’s origins trace back to its initial production of pens and rolling pins. The name “Beaver Woodright” was inspired by Kelly Hogan’s residence in Beaver, Pennsylvania, and his exceptional woodworking skills, which earned him the title of “woodright.” In 2015, the company shifted its focus to pirate-themed shaving soaps and accessories. This change was prompted by numerous customer feedback at shows, where the previous name was deemed unsuitable. After discussing the matter with his wife, Black Ship Grooming was born. This scent is an outstanding blend of Grapefruit, Sandalwood, Black Amber, and to me, that’s the order in which they present themselves as well. The list of ingredients is as follows: Water, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Steric Acid, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycerin, Essential / Fragrance Oils Upon discovering this tub, I encountered a crack on the lid’s side, which facilitated the drying of the soap to a point where it resembled dust. However, Ghost Ship did not disappoint. I was able to produce an impressive quantity in a short period, and as an added benefit, the scent intensified. The coverage was excellent, enabling the application of a thick, creamy layer to my seven-day-old beard. I experienced superior slickness and glide, allowing me to effortlessly navigate troubled areas without concern. It always amazes me how resilient shaving soaps can be. FAQ - Hey! What’s that razor you always use? It’s called Occam’s Razor Enhanced-Nano or O.R.E.N for short. I was a backer on Kickstarter and got in as an early bird for $45.00. Then it was released to the public for $125.00. During COVID, it got up to $225.00 due to shipping issues to and from China. Remember, the one I have is the O.R.E.N. It has a hollow handle. As of this writing, they have none in stock and haven’t had any for years.. https://www.classicshaving.com/ Buy me a Coffee - https://buymeacoffee.com/wetthefsce Please check my other social media outlets: Wet The Face Store - http://wettheface.com MeWe - https://mewe.com/group/5bbe40c4a5f4e5...
