Jesús Salazar, one of the victims of the double earthquake that struck Venezuela on June 24, recounted to NTN24 the harrowing moment his building collapsed after the powerful quake and how he and a small group of others managed to escape. "I'm alive by a miracle," Salazar said, reenacting the movements he made to survive the natural disaster in La Guaira. Salazar also stated that after the collapse, he went to the buildings surrounding his residence to try to help rescue those trapped in the rubble.
