Blueberry Jam Recipe using Frozen Berries~large batch! (hot water bath canning method)
This blueberry jam has less sugar than most recipes and is bursting with blueberry flavour! This recipe is a larger batch which makes about nine half pint jars so you will have lots to share and fill your pantry shelf! Recipe: 14 cups frozen blueberries 5 & 1/2 cups of granulated sugar 1/4 cup of bottled lemon juice 1 envelope of liquid pectin (you can also use powdered pectin) ...combine the fruit, sugar and lemon juice and bring to a boil on medium/low heat. Add pectin and bring back to a low boil, stirring periodically for about 20-25 minutes or until it reaches the gel stage. If you have a candy thermometer , it will read 220 degrees Fahrenheit (or 104.4 degrees Celsius). Fill jars and process in a hot water bath canner for 10 minutes. Makes 9, half pint jars
