Wario loves coins don't he? So much in fact he's gonna travel halfway across the world to get three measly bags of coins back. This guy must really love coins, more than life itself. Is Wario ok? Is he lonely? Does he need a friend? Perhaps his never ending desire for coins is simply to hide the fact he's deeply unhappy deep down. What's the point in being rich if you spend all your time alone in a giant empty castle? But perhaps that is what makes him happy. Perhaps that is why he will chase down the stolen money to the ends of the earth. But what happens when he gets the coins back? Will he ever spend them, does he even have an income to replace them? Perhaps it's more about the principle of stealing from Wario rather than the coins themselves. You almost feel bad for the guy. Wario was clearly not wealthy prior, that's why he stole Mario's Castle in Mario Land 2. He wanted to feel like he's rich but without putting in the work. So then he wishes for a castle and now he can pretend to be rich. Perhaps he suffers from imposter syndrome. Without the money he's nothing. His identity revolves around people thinking he's rich so he HAS to get his money back. One thing for sure is, I don't think the stolen bags of money will bring Wario happiness in the long run.
