Today was absolutely surreal. I woke up in Toronto to find the entire city blanketed in a thick, orange-gray haze. Thanks to active wildfires in northwestern Ontario, Toronto temporarily ranked as having the WORST air quality of any major city in the world today. With a Special Air Quality Statement (Orange Alert) and the Air Quality Health Index hitting a maximum risk of 10+, I decided to grab my camera and head out for a quiet, eerie POV walking tour of Midtown Toronto to document what the city looks like under these post-apocalyptic conditions. We start at the bustling core of Yonge and Eglinton—which feels completely hushed today and head south to St. Clair Station.
