In time, Eji-Alo gives birth to a male child who is afflicted from the womb. Ejiogbe can heal others, but he cannot heal his own child. The household enters sorrow, and Eji-Alo leaves the child with him. Esu, Ogun, and Obalifon later meet Ejiogbe and learn of his suffering. Esu seeks help in heaven, and the Awos Eduwe Koko Meji and Ejo Meijinja reveal that the forgotten instruction must be restored. Through sacrifice, medicine, and Ifá divination, the child’s legs are washed, and life returns to his limbs. But the story does not end with full restoration. The child is healed, yet the marriage is not restored. Eji-Alo has already married Oluweri, and through Àṣẹ-command, Ejiogbe joins them into the river now called Oluweri. TURNING POINT The turning point comes when the forgotten he-goat offering to Esu is remembered and restored. Through Esu, the forgotten instruction returns as the road of correction, and the path toward healing opens.
