Never Ever Buying Garlic Againš¤
Growing, Harvesting & Curing Garlic PLANTING (Late Oct-Nov): Plant cloves 4ā deep, 6ā apart, pointed end up, 2-3 weeks before ground freezes. Add 1ā compost layer and 4-6ā leaf mulch for winter protection. SPRING CARE (April): When garlic sprouts, apply compost and water deeply every other morning. Continue monthly composting. SUMMER (June): Cut curly green scapes at stem center to redirect energy into bulb growth. Scapes are edible! HARVEST (Late July-Aug): When 3-5 bottom leaves turn brown, carefully dig bulbs 4-5ā from stem. CURING: Air dry bulbs 1-2 days outdoors (protected from rain), then cure in ventilated shelter for 2+ weeks until stems dry. Cut stems 2-3ā above the bulb, trim roots, brush off dirt. STORAGE: Keep in a cool, dry place for up to one year. Save the biggest cloves and use those to replant again. We appreciate you taking the time to watch our video.
