Rusch-Büeblä – Vom Wägital ins Hallenstadion | Volksmusik | SRF

The Rusch-Büeblä from the Wägital valley have been around for ten years – and today they are arguably the most successful Ländler and folk music group in Switzerland. Wherever they perform, their shows are sold out. They captivate a young audience like almost no other folk music group – and they themselves are only in their mid-twenties. Folk music is cool again. But what's behind the success of this extraordinary family group? 🎶▶️ Stream more "Potzmusig" on: 👉 https://www.srf.ch/play or 👉    / @srfunterhaltung   More about the video –––––––––––––––––––––––––– The Rusch-Büeblä are among the most successful Ländler and folk music groups in Switzerland today. For ten years, twins Cyrill and Simon Rusch (24) have been performing on stage with their father Roger (57), captivating audiences far beyond the folk music scene with their distinctive style. Wherever the family band plays, the venues are sold out. With a blend of traditional Swiss folk music and surprising pop and rock interpretations, the Rusch-Büeblä bridge the generation gap. Their medleys – including songs by Die Toten Hosen – ensure that even today, many young fans in Edelweiss shirts sing along. 2025 marked a special year for the band: They won their second Swiss Music Award, shared the stage with Oesch’s die Dritten and Trauffer at the sold-out Hallenstadion, and their own 10th-anniversary celebration sold out within minutes. Despite their success, the Rusch-Büeblä remain firmly rooted in the Wägital valley. Here they live and work – as carpenters, metalworkers, and roofers. And around a hundred performances a year take them from small restaurants and festival tents to the country's biggest concert stages. SRF followed the group for a year. The documentary "Rusch-Büeblä – From Wägital to the Hallenstadion" offers a personal and authentic glimpse into the musicians' daily lives and shows how the band is redefining a genre steeped in tradition.
