Declaration at Customs: Fireworks must always be declared at customs when imported or transiting from a non-EU country. 2. Categorization of Fireworks: • Category F1: Small fireworks (e.g., sparklers) may be imported year-round by persons over 12 years of age. • Category F2: New Year's Eve fireworks (e.g., rockets, multi-shot fireworks) may generally be imported year-round by persons over 18 years of age. However, certain pyrotechnic articles are exempt and require special permission, such as rockets with more than 20 grams of net explosive mass or so-called "flashbangs." • Categories F3 and F4: A special permit under explosives law is always required for import. 3.
