2022 Raleigh Christmas Parade . In Memory of Hailey Brook

I wish I could say we had a great time and we enjoyed the parade but unfortunately the parade was cancelled . Everything was going great except a few minor hiccups with a few tractors not wanting to start that morning due to the cold . We were in our staging area about 10 minutes out from pulling onto the parade route when everyone's phones starting going off with news of an accident in the parade. One of the vehicles pulling a float the brakes give out and they could not stop . Before several bystanders could stop the truck by holding on to it a little girl was struck and severely injured . Later that day we learned she had passed as a result of her injuries . Before we knew how bad it was they canceled the parade and we returned and loaded up for the day . This was purely an accident and unfortunately someone lost their life so I would like to dedicate this video to the memory of 11 year old Hailey Brook .......
