With rising oil prices and environmental concerns, natural alternatives to conventional materials are increasingly popular. To celebrate bioscience innovation in the UK, the Biosciences and Chemistry Innovation Knowledge Transfer Networks teamed up with leading starch-based plastic supplier Biome Bioplastics and eco-printers MCR Print to create a Union Jack flag from an unusual source; the humble potato. This flag has been through quite a journey and Life Size Media were asked to tell its story, from potato packers to plastic production to printers.
