28 Years Old Articulated Dump Track O&K 23,2 is Custom Built to Increase Flotation in Muddy Terrain

Featuring a typical workday of a modified dumper O&K 23,2 made by German manufacturer Orenstein & Koppel which since ceased to exist. After an initial engine inspection the dumper is being driven down to the river basin. Because of its size, any transportation is a hassle. It doesn’t fit through an agricultural gate so the truck driver drives over barbed wire fence to access the river basin. Its upside, on the other hand is its flotation in soft muddy terrain. In this video the off-road mode is not engaged as not to put unnecessary strain on. The dumper is capable of mastering much more difficult terrain but that is usually avoided at all costs….something always breaks. Instead, at the soft spots, supporting mats are used for the dumper to drive on and to protect the ground.
