The project is simple: I'm creating a free tool that sits somewhere between traditional Live2D avatars and PNGTubing. The goal is to lower the barrier to entry for aspiring VTubers by making it easier for people to start creating content without needing to spend thousands of dollars before they've even streamed for the first time. Instead of celebrating the fact that more people will be able to join the hobby, a vocal group on VTwitter immediately decided to attack the project because of the technology used to build it. Once again, the conversation stopped being about whether the tool is useful and became another ideological purity test. What's especially ironic is who seems to be the most upset. Many of the loudest critics come from industries that have unfortunately developed a reputation for extremely long wait times, missed deadlines, inconsistent communication, and, in some cases, refusing refunds after months of delays. Of course, not every illustrator or rigger operates this way—many are talented professionals who provide excellent service—but enough creators have had bad experiences that it's understandable why people have started looking for alternative solutions. Competition isn't an attack on artists. Competition happens when a market isn't fully serving everyone's needs. If a new tool allows hobbyists and newcomers to get started more easily while professionals continue offering premium, custom work, then both can coexist. Lowering the barrier to entry doesn't eliminate creativity—it expands it. The reaction also says something about the current state of online communities. Instead of asking how a new tool might help aspiring creators, some people immediately assume the worst, attack the developer personally, and attempt to pressure others into rejecting it before they've even had a chance to try it themselves. In this video, I react to Rev Says Desu's coverage, respond to the criticism surrounding the project, and explain why I believe making VTubing more accessible is a good thing for the community as a whole. Because making creativity more accessible shouldn't be controversial. If your first reaction to a free tool is to try to destroy the person building it, maybe the problem isn't the tool. Let me know what you think in the comments. Should technology that lowers the barrier to entry for creators be embraced, or do you think these concerns are justified? rev says desu reaction, leaflit, vtuber drama, vtwitter drama, live2d alternative, pngtuber, vtuber tools, creator tools, streaming community, internet drama, online commentary, leaflit reaction, vtuber news, They're Trying To Cancel Me, Rev Says Desu Covers It, VTwitter Is Mad Again, A FREE Tool Started This?, Why Are They So Angry?, Making VTubing Easier, The Internet Lost Its Mind, Another VTwitter Dogpile, This Is Bigger Than Me, Let's Talk About It, Rev Says Desu, Leaflit, VTuber, VTwitter, Live2D, PNGTuber, VTuber tools, streaming, creator community, internet drama, Leaflit VTuber, reaction video, discussion, analysis If you are the owner of the original video and you want this video removed, please contact: [email protected] #gaming #vtuber #reaction
