Getting a staggering 5 out of 5 in all reviews, we take a trip out to see why, after enjoying a quick walk around the town centre to see how much Barnsley has changed in recent years, after not visiting for a very long time. Famous for several celebrities such as Shaun Dooley, Kathrine Kelly, Dickie Bird, Stan Richards, Arthur Scargill, John Stones, Mick McCarthy, Bryan Glover and the world famous film KES, Barnsley is another sad example of the mess that Maggie Thatcher's Tory Government left behind by closing the mines, pits and steelworks in the area.
