Immediate vs. Permanent Dentures
What's the difference between immediate dentures and permanent dentures? Well, immediate dentures are placed immediately after extractions. It means you don't have to go without teeth at any point. The downside is that they will become loose, require multiple visits for adjustments to keep them fitting properly, and they will need to be replaced between 9 to 12 months. Since they are temporary dentures, it is more expensive to go this route. With a permanent set, you get your teeth extracted and then there is a healing period that lasts several weeks to months so you will go without teeth. The plus is that this is a less expensive option and you will get a much better fitting denture. You'll also have more opportunities to provide feedback on the esthetic with a wax try-in. ************************************************* If you found this video valuable, give it a like!
