When Margarita tries to collect the money and threatens to report her, Brenda warns her that she knows her schedule and can make her disappear. That same night, Margarita doesn't return home. Her daughter, Lucía, leads the search until the evidence points to Brenda's house and a barrel buried next to a ditch. The culprit is discovered and convicted, but the story doesn't end with the sentence. Two years later, Brenda is found dead inside a locked cell.
