We traveled between two of the most iconic fisheries in the state: Lake Roosevelt and Rufus Woods. The mission was simple, but the reality was anything but. We went looking for giants, and Washington tested us from the first cast. Day 1 at Rufus Woods was non-stop snow and freezing conditions that pushed our gear to the edge. Day 2 turned into a rollercoaster of heartbreak and redemption; we had plenty of fish shaking the hook right at the boat, but we kept at it, laughed through the chaos, and made the most of every second.
