Yumekukan, an entertainment company that focuses on rakugo (traditional Japanese storytelling), has launched its official YouTube channel! In addition to rakugo performances, the channel will feature original content filmed exclusively for YouTube, including behind-the-scenes footage of the masters that you wouldn't normally see. The inaugural performance on the channel is "Rakugo Education Committee," featuring three unique figures from the rakugo world. The performance, originally scheduled for May 20th at Nakano ZERO Small Hall, was cancelled due to the state of emergency. Instead, a special YouTube version of "Rakugo Education Committee" will be broadcast for four consecutive nights starting June 27th. The first night features Sanyutei Utamusashi's "The Cat's Dish." The second half includes bonus footage: behind-the-scenes footage from the filming day and a post-show discussion.
